CARE for Families
Often when a youth is in crisis or suffering, the family is too. It is not enough to only help the child. Youth Care & Beyond works with families to help ease as much suffering possible to ensure that youth and family receive the help needed.
Family Support is designed to provide early intervention with youth to reduce juvenile crime while also helping families make positive changes in their lives. Support includes such things as skill building, school advocacy and liaison, community resource connection, family meetings, tutoring, individual and family consultation, skills training, and assistance with transportation.
Parent Education and Encouragement offers proactive skills for parents and caregivers to help create and maintain appropriate relationships, family trust, respect and well being. We offer groups in West and North Omaha. Find the next group near you.
WINGS is our parents’ network, WINGS (Wisdom, Instruction, Negotiation, Guidance, Support), to bring Youth Care & Beyond parents and staff members together for discussion and mutual support. The WINGS group meets quarterly to discuss topics related to the challenges and rewards of parenting a teenager. We are also willing to provide one-on-one counseling in the interest of developing understanding and promoting family harmony. Find the next meeting.
